My Evening Skin Reset

I’ve become much more selective about evening skincare because I don’t want ten different steps before bed. Most nights, I just want to remove the day properly, give my skin one focused treatment, and stop there.
These two products ended up working well together in that kind of routine: one feels like the reset, while the other is the step I use when I want something more targeted.

1. Arencia Fresh Blue Hyssop Rice Mochi Cleanser

I was curious about the Arencia Fresh Blue Hyssop Rice Mochi Cleanser because it looks quite different from the usual gel cleansers I keep in my bathroom. I tend to use it in the evening when I want my skin to feel thoroughly cleansed but not stripped afterwards. The texture makes the cleansing step feel a little more deliberate, and I like taking a bit more time to massage it in rather than rinsing immediately. What I noticed most is that it fits nicely into nights when I’ve worn makeup or sunscreen and want that proper “day is over” feeling. I don’t see it as a rushed morning cleanser; for me, it works better as part of a slower evening routine.

2. Purito Retinol Retinal 2000 Serum

The Purito Retinol Retinal 2000 Serum is the treatment step I reach for after cleansing, but I keep the rest of the routine simple around it. Because retinol and retinal are clearly highlighted on the bottle, I prefer using this one at night and introducing it carefully rather than applying too much too quickly. The serum itself feels easy to spread, so I don’t need much to cover my face. I also like that it doesn’t make the routine feel overly complicated; once it is on, I usually follow with a straightforward moisturiser and leave it there.
I don’t use this every single evening. Some nights I only cleanse and moisturise, while on others I bring this serum in as my more active step. That balance works better for me than trying to force the same routine every day.
Together, these products make sense because they serve completely different purposes without competing for attention. The Arencia cleanser gives me that fresh starting point, while the Purito serum makes the routine feel more intentional. I like skincare most when it feels organised but still flexible, and this combination fits that mood surprisingly well.
