There was a time when I thought lip care stopped at balm. Simple, quick, done. But after dealing with dry, flaky lips that made even my favorite lipstick look uneven, I started exploring something extra: lip scrubs.
Turns out, this small step can completely change how your lips feel and look.
Two products that caught my attention recently are Barenbliss Renewing Lip Scrub and Liplapin Green Tea Lip Scrub. Each one brings its own personality to the table.

Barenbliss Renewing Lip Scrub

The first thing I noticed about this scrub is how gentle it feels despite doing its job well. The texture isn’t overly harsh, which I personally appreciate because I’ve tried scrubs before that felt like rubbing sugar crystals straight onto my lips. This one feels softer, almost cushioned. It helps lift away dry skin without leaving that uncomfortable, over-exfoliated feeling afterward. What makes it stand out for me is how it doesn’t just stop at exfoliating.

Liplapin Green Tea Lip Scrub

This one gives off a fresher, lighter vibe from the start. The green tea element adds a subtle calming sensation, and I find it especially nice when I’m doing a nighttime routine. It feels less like a “treatment” and more like a relaxing step. Compared to the first one, the exfoliation feels a bit more refreshing than rich.
It still removes dead skin effectively, but the finish is cleaner, almost like your lips can breathe again. I usually go for this when my lips aren’t too damaged but just need a quick polish before applying lip products.
Both scrubs serve their purpose in slightly different ways. One leans toward a more nourishing experience, while the other feels refreshing and simple. Choosing between them really depends on what your lips are asking for that day. What I’ve learned is that lip care doesn’t need to be complicated—but paying attention to small details like this can make a noticeable difference.
