Dry skin has a way of showing up at the most inconvenient times—after a long day in air-conditioning, after washing your face too often, or just when the weather feels a bit too harsh.
Over time, I realized that keeping skin comfortable isn’t about piling on too many products, but about choosing a few that actually do their job without making things complicated. Two hydrating serums I’ve been using fit into that idea quite well.

1. Ocean Elixir Multi-Algae Hydrating Serum

This serum feels like it carries a very light, watery texture that spreads easily and disappears into the skin without effort. There’s no sticky layer left behind, which makes it comfortable even when layered under other skincare. What stands out is the refreshing feel it gives right after application, almost like a quick drink of water for tired skin. With continued use, the skin looks less dull and feels more balanced throughout the day. I usually reach for it when my skin feels tight but I don’t want anything too heavy sitting on top of it.

2. Simple Hyaluronic Acid Booster Serum

This one is more straightforward in approach, but that’s also its strength. The texture is slightly more cushion-like compared to the first serum, and it gives a soft, plumping feel when applied. It works well when the skin feels dry in a more noticeable way, especially after cleansing. It doesn’t try to do too much at once, just focuses on bringing moisture back in a steady, reliable way. I find it easy to include in both morning and evening routines because it blends well with other steps without causing any discomfort or buildup.
Dealing with dry skin is less about chasing perfection and more about consistency. When hydration is maintained in small, steady steps, the skin gradually feels more comfortable and less reactive, without needing anything overly complicated.
