My Rose Lip Combo Trend

The lip combo trend is still one of my favourite beauty habits because two simple products can completely change the final colour. Right now, I’m especially into muted rose and brown-pink combinations that make the lips look defined without feeling too heavy.
For this look, I tested two combinations that create slightly different versions of the same soft, polished rose lip.

L’Oréal 173 + B.Colour 615

The first combination gives me the more muted, sophisticated result. I start with the B.Colour lip pencil in shade 615, which looks like a cool brown-taupe on the skin. I use it to define the lip contour and slightly shade the outer corners.
Then I add L’Oréal lipstick in shade 173 over the top. The lipstick brings in a dusty rose tone that softens the darker liner and makes the final colour much more wearable.
What I love about this combination is the balance. The brown pencil adds definition, but the lipstick keeps everything from looking too dark. On my lips, the result is a soft mauve-rose shade with a slightly muted finish that feels perfect for everyday makeup.

Stellary 05 + Sen Sulu 03

The second combination is noticeably juicier. I use the Stellary pencil in shade 05 to create a deeper rose-brown outline, then apply Sen Sulu 03 over the lips.
This pairing gives me a warmer, glossier finish. The liner creates definition while the glossy lip product adds shine and makes the lips look fuller without needing an extremely precise application.
Compared with the first combination, this one feels more playful and fresh. I would choose it when I want my makeup to look softer and more luminous rather than completely matte.

Why I Like This Trend

What keeps me coming back to lip combinations is how easy they are to customise. A deeper liner can completely change a lipstick or gloss that looks too bright on its own, while a softer centre colour makes a darker pencil much easier to wear.
These two combinations give me two different moods from the same rose-brown colour family: one is muted and elegant, while the other is glossy and fresh. For me, that versatility is exactly why the lip combo trend continues to work so well.
