Perfume is one of those little details that can stick in my memory long after an outfit has been forgotten.
I’m drawn to scents that have their own character, whether that means something fresh and floral or a fragrance with a more elegant feel.
Jo Malone London English Pear & Freesia Cologne and CHANEL N°5 Eau Première are two very different options I’d love to wear for different occasions.

1. Jo Malone London English Pear & Freesia Cologne

The kind of scent that feels right for daytime plans. Imagine getting dressed for lunch, opening the windows, and enjoying a slow morning before heading out. A fragrance with pear, freesia, and rose fits that picture beautifully. The fruity freshness and floral character make this Jo Malone scent appealing when I want something that feels bright without being overly dramatic.

2. CHANEL N°5 Eau Première Eau de Parfum

When I want my perfume to feel like part of the outfit. Not every fragrance needs to feel casual. CHANEL N°5 Eau Première offers a softer, airier take on the classic N°5 style, with a refined floral character that feels polished rather than overly intense. I can picture wearing it with a structured blazer, delicate jewelry, and a simple makeup look. It would suit a dinner reservation or a special event, but I wouldn’t save it only for formal occasions.
My choice would depend on the plans, the weather, and even what I’m wearing. Jo Malone London feels like the easy companion for daytime outings, while CHANEL N°5 Eau Première brings a more dressed-up touch. Both have their own appeal, and I like the idea of keeping fragrances for different moods rather than expecting one bottle to suit every occasion.
