· Plant Team
Whether it's green peppers, morning glory peppers, or small peppers, they are all peppers that are often used and don't require much effort to grow well.
If you have a small vegetable garden at home, you can plant a large pepper in the garden.
If you don't have a garden at home, you can also plant a few pots of chili peppers on your balcony, it's easy to grow chili peppers in pots, and a few pots of chili peppers are enough for a family to eat.
Now is a good time to plant peppers and in less than a month peppers will be able to bear fruit.
1. Watering and loosening the soil
Chili peppers are a bit delicate, neither drought-resistant nor flood-resistant, this is because the root system of chili peppers is relatively shallow.
When it is growing it is recommended to water less, every five days. Never water a lot of water at once, or you will easily get rotten roots.
Loosening the soil is very important, loosening the soil well to keep the soil ventilated so that the roots of the pepper can get to breathe, which is helpful for the roots of the pepper.
The timing of loosening the soil is very important, to choose when the soil is dry, loosening the soil to avoid hurting the pepper's root system.
2. Light and pots
Growing peppers on the balcony is not the same as inside a small vegetable garden.
Potted peppers need more light, otherwise, it is easy to appear only to grow leaves and not fruit.
When planting peppers on the balcony, put them in a sunny place.
In addition to the sunny time to give it shade, other times to let it more sunshine, so that it will grow better and stronger.
If we choose a small pot when planting chili peppers, it is time to start preparing a large pot, because a small pot will not have enough nutrients.
The growth of pepper seedlings will be slower and the branches will be thin, in which case the peppers will be especially small.
3. Soil and fertilization
Peppers like fertile soil, the more fertile the soil, the more fruit, fertilization is very critical, peppers like a fertile growing environment.
Pepper in the process of growth, can not only apply a kind of fertilizer, if you only apply nitrogen fertilizer, there will be a lack of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, and it is very easy to only grow leaves and not fruit.
If you planted peppers, with only nitrogen fertilizer, then you have to give peppers the application of some phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, to promote the results of peppers.
4. Care
If you plant too many chili peppers inside the pot, the chili peppers are crowded together, it is easy to have insufficient nutrition, which affects the growth of chili peppers.
At this stage, you should thin out the excess pepper seedlings. Although it may be difficult to remove the young plants, failing to do so will result in overcrowded conditions that can cause the remaining peppers to grow weak and spindly.
